Quality Home Construction on Outer Cape Cod

t2Skyline Homes Cape Cod has been in the home construction business on the Outer Cape for more than 20 years.  Licensed at age 23,  and fully insured, John Largey, Skyline’s founder, began in the construction business as a roofer at the age of 19.

After gradually adding a crew to work with him, Skyline Homes expanded into siding installation, framing, and then custom work.  New homes, including his family’s home in Eastham, garages (attached and free-standing), dormers and addition, are also part of the Skyline Homes experience.  Skyline has also built commercial shop space for a landscaper in Wellfleet.

Skyline’s custom home projects come from local architects who’ve recognized Skyline Homes as well-experienced in home construction.  All of Skyline Homes’ jobs have respected and protected Cape Cod’s environment.  Skyline makes it a point to preserve as much of the natural element of a building lot, and will work around those elements as an integral part of the project.

Several of Skyline’s recent projects are listed in the Our Projects section, including phased images for the before – during – after effects of our work.  Please make sure you take a look – – – you never know when you may find an idea to incorporate into your new home’s plans.

No project is too big or too small for home construction, additions, garages, dormers, or whatever your needs may be. Chances are we’ve built it and can show you our work.

Whatever your need may be, we’re available for a consult. Call or email with any questions you might have about what Skyline Homes Cape Cod can do for you.

John Largey, Skyline Homes

I’ve built many homes, and many additions to homes, in Eastham, Wellfleet and Truro, and am familiar with all of the local rules and regulations pertaining to home construction.  Many of my projects come from word of mouth, a satisfied customer of a previous job.  I work closely with architects to ensure homes and home additions are according to my customers’ approved plans. I’d love to speak with you about your home construction project.

Progress on an Arbor Way, Eastham New Home

My third winter 2014-2015 project is on Arbor Way and is well under construction, as the photographs show.  The home is a two-bedroom, with an extended window in one of the upper bedrooms, as well as a large deck.  We expect this project to be delivered late spring of 2015. These photos were taken on December 14, 2014               These photos were taken on March 25, 2015.  You can see the progress we’ve made on the front of the home, and the new window view jutting out from the home to enhance the master bedroom on the second floor.  On the right, you can see the deck that has been added, also, coming out from the first floor. I’ll update this page with some interior shots when we’ve finished the project.        ... read more

Major Addition For What Was a Summer Cottage in Eastham

This project is for an addition to a summer cottage that has been winterized.  The addition has been framed, and was recently sealed by a rubber compound new to construction methods.  The rubber compound helps secure the framed addition to wind-tight condition, and is an alternative to sprayed insulation.  Although an extra step, it is actually a cost-effective construction method that will serve the homeowners well.  The photos depict the rubber sealant, as well as the point of connection between the addition and the existing dwelling. These first three photos were taken on December 14, 2014.   It is now four months later, and the progress has been extensive.  These photos were taken on March 25, 2015.                                                                               This winter has been seemingly endless, and you can still see snow on the ground.  But, you can see now what the rubber compound-sprayed shell is becoming.  I will add some more photos to this project page of interior shots when we’ve finished so you will have the complete picture of this... read more

Four New Projects for 2014-2015 Winter Work

We’ve undertaken four new projects since our last post, all in Eastham.  Some are fully under construction, while two are in the plan approval stage.  You will find a brief description and some early photographs of each in the “My Projects” section of the site here. Our winter work is clearly lined up, as you will see, and we are scheduled for late spring to mid-summer deliveries from among these four.  However, we’re also in consultation for a couple more projects, again all in Eastham, and expect to be even busier come spring of the new year.... read more
